Inspired by this post by Seth Godin, here is some good common sense advice:
- Build ski slopes where it snows
- Build a harbor where there is water
- Build a business where it will thrive
We tend to do the opposite – we build something where WE want it and then expect the [snow, water, or customers] to follow our lead.
Don’t get mad at the world when we don’t come to what you built. Find your market first, and then build what God has put on your heart.
Build your marriage around your wife, rather than building it around yourself and expecting her to come to you.
