Yesterday I talked about Project Warfare. We all encounter obstacles in projects – and some we can push through – but others seems to stop to stop us in our tracks.
I can gear up and push harder when the obstacle is related to problem-solving…organizing more tasks like dominoes…recruiting more leaders…or up-scaling the size of the project.
BUT…I get paralyzed when I encounter a mess. When we opened the door to the trailer and saw the torn cartons, spilled drink, and broken bottles…I froze. I stood there staring at it until my son Kenny put his arm over my shoulder and said “no sense looking at it, just get to work.” He pushed and got me moving again because I couldn’t get going myself.
What kind of obstacles cause you to become paralyzed? What are your tips to get moving again?
Thanks for listening.
PS: I’ll stop talking about the “pallet project” now 🙂
