Christmas is a time where friends and family gather together and celebrate the importance of our love for each other. We do that because Christ first loved us and then He made our love for each other the measure of our maturity in Him.
I was thinking yesterday that my love for my children runs so deep…largely because my wife and I knew them from birth. We cared for them as babies and infants. Truth is, we probably would not love them as much if they arrived as teenagers. There is something special about the younger years when we bonded with them.
That is what makes family so special. The love runs deeper because of the time we have spent together.
And yet, God formed us in our mothers womb. He knew us before we were born. Imagine how much deeper that runs than a parent’s love.
Thanks for listening.
