I borrowed this thought from Verne Harnish, who is an expert in strategic planning for mid-sized companies.
Steve Jobs was legendary in his ability to focus on his top priorities. Verne says that he “literally spent three hours each day working on whatever was the key focus – launching the iPod, designing the new retail store, etc…he would pick one major initiative and, like and Olympic athlete, give it three hours per day of his undivided attention. That is how you get big things accomplished!”
As I return from vacation today, I had to stop and ask myself – what is my top priority? So, I now have figured out my top priority. Do you know yours?
Thanks for listening.
