I rejoice over a lot of good things. Just to name a few:
- I rejoice when I am privileged to see God’s hand move in someone’s life
- I rejoice when I successfully finish a project.
- I rejoice when I leave everything behind and go on vacation
- I rejoice when I play with my grandchildren
But, Jesus warns us to be careful over what we rejoice in. He said “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:19-20)
When you rejoice, make sure you remember what matters most.
Thanks for listening.
