When God spoke and called me to vocational ministry, I set aside all other options. There are many other leadership positions I could have…but I could not do both. I can follow the path God designed for me or I could chase other things
Because of that, I left my career and joined 12Stone Church and am giving my highest and best life energy to serving its leaders.
As I have lived out my calling, others have joined me. There is a growing group of people who are following their life call by serving alongside me as their leader…in the way that I serve alongside my leaders.
Candidly, I sometimes wrestle with that concept. It feels unfair that others would sacrifice so deeply to serve me…even though I sacrifice to serve my leaders. Why is that?
I suppose it is because I’ve seen so many people who wanted others to serve them…who used their leadership role for their own benefit…who used their influence to lord over others.
And yet, I have no regrets over the decisions I have made to serve those whom God has placed over me. I am eager to finish the race and receive the prize that He has waiting for me at the end. I also believe that others who sacrifice and follow God’s path will be equally rewarded.
How about you? Do you have a purpose, a cause (or a leader) to sacrifice for and give your life to?
Thanks for listening.
