There is a tipping point in every project where the chaos and uncertainly begin to clear up, and we gain momentum in execution. Sometimes it comes as a result of a series of planning meetings. At other times, it happens after having “100 conversations” with our teammates. In other situations, it can come as a result of hours and hours of research. The result is a tangible acceleration towards the completion of the project.
If I have a current project that has not yet “tipped”…it is because I haven’t thrashed enough.
This is not someone else’s responsibility. No one can thrash on my behalf. If I have doubts, questions, or unclear objectives…it is my job to resolve the ambiguity. Not my organization’s job. Not my boss’ job. My job.
Thanks for listening.
