“Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk” (pronounced “spellllT” here in the south) reminds us that things happen that aren’t worth the time and energy to worry and fret over. Projects are full of unexpected issues that pop up and detract us from our primary objectives.
This past weekend, a 20′ trailer that is used to carry vital equipment for a satellite campus was disabled when a wheel bearing burned up in transit. A couple of incredible volunteers (kudos to Mark & Jimmy!) jumped into action for an emergency repair and no worship services were interrupted. After further investigation, we determined that the trailer is operating at its maximum capacity…and is therefore experiencing higher than expected wear and tear. So, at less than 2,000 miles traveled we have a decision to make.
- We can replace it with a higher capacity trailer
- We can endure more risk and service it more often
Either way, there is absolutely no reason to spend any more emotional energy on this issue. We have more important things to worry about. Clean up the mess and move on.
Thanks for listening.
