Our organization owns two different kinds of trailers that supply our five mobile campuses every week. After thousands of miles on the roads with both manufacturers, we have found that each one has its strengths and weaknesses. I wish I could have one perfectly built trailer, but I can’t. I just have to pick one (or two) and live with them.
We also own hundreds of computers of various types. I personally own both a Windows PC and an iMac. I have used both for years and each have their strengths and weakness. I wish that there was a super-computer that could combine the best of both. So, I’ll have to keep using the computers I have.
I have several brands of tools in my garage, with Craftsman and Ridgid being the most common. Both of these companies have strengths and weaknesses. I wish I could combine the best of both into one “super-tool” but I can’t. I’ll keep using them as they are.
Here is the lie…There are no perfect solutions. There are no perfect choices. Sometimes we just have to pick one that can serve our needs and live with the missed expectations that come from less-than-perfect solutions.
Thanks for listening.
