This week, I overcame a huge obstacle that has been slowing me down for months. Most of my projects have been hindered by this issue…and progress was often being measured by how fast I was moving backwards.
When I finally overcame the obstacle…I found that in reality nothing had changed. The only difference came from a change in my perception of the problem.
My problem was not my problem. I was the problem.
I wish that I could tell you how rare that is…but its not. Often, my biggest obstacles come from my perceptions which are not always accurate. Once I see the situation more clearly, I am able to move forward.
I am a finite human being. I cannot see and comprehend everything clearly. I need others to help me understand that the obstacle I face is probably not real.
Often, the most valuable action I can take is to ask more questions, listen to others, and change my perception.
How about you? What is your biggest obstacle that is slowing you down? How can you gain a fresh perspective…and regain your forward progress?
Thanks for listening.
