The recent selection of a new Pope triggered memories of our Italy trip from last year. There is a link on the home page of my blog if you are interested in the travel tips and tricks we learned from that experience.
Here are my favorite jokes from the trip. Cultures from around the world enjoy poking fun at each other.
- Heaven is where the police are British, the cooks are French, the mechanics German, the lovers Italian and it’s all organized by the Swiss. Hell is where the chefs are British, the mechanics French, the lover’s Swiss, the police German and it’s all organized by the Italians.
- How many armies — does it take to change a light bulb? At least five. The Germans to start it, the French to give up really easily after only trying for a little while, the Italians to make a start, get nowhere, and then try again from the other side, the Americans to turn up late and finish it off and take all the credit, and the Swiss to pretend nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
