For the last two weeks, I have been celebrating a miracle.
My youngest son and his family have been going though a very difficult time. He was out of work for about 3 months with a broken hand, and has found it hard to get traction on his job hunt. Finances for them are unbelievably tight…and are getting more difficult by the minute.
At a particularly low point two weeks ago, he cried out to God in a significant moment of prayer. In an amazing miracle that I still can’t fully describe, God moved and my son was back at work in a full time job within one business day.
When I told him how amazed I was…I had to concede that I felt a little silly. After all, I am in the business of communicating to people that God still does miracles. I told him that after 22 years as a believer, I should not be so surprised when God acts so swiftly.
My son then said “Miracles are kinda like fireworks. We all know what is coming, but we are still amazed by their beauty.”
That is a great perspective. Can you still be amazed by God’s fireworks?
Thanks for listening.
