I recently took a trailer full of yard trash to a private dump (actually it was called a “Recycling Center“). When I walked into the office to ask for directions, I said “This is my first time and I don’t know where to go.”
The lady immediately jumped up to welcome me and handed me a “New Customer Kit”. It had a notepad, pen, and information about what materials they accept…and also told me about other services they offer (like delivery of dirt and gravel).
Did you catch the irony of that? The “Dump” gave me a “First Time Visitor Kit”. I was SO impressed that I added their contact info into my phone and kept the web page URL. I will turn to them again when I need help…even if others are closer and cheaper.
Do you impress people when they encounter your work? Do you go above and beyond the expectations of others to serve them?
It makes a difference when you do. Thanks for listening.
