All products…all organizations…all fads…all technologies…and all movements follow a similar cycle called the “Sigmoid Curve”. (I recently heard someone call it a “hockey stick”…perhaps you know it by another name).
Successful organizations learn how to leverage this trend into repeated cycles that layer upon each other. Others decline and fail. If you are unfamiliar with this concept, I suggest that you start researching how companies become blind to their own decline. Examples: Swiss watches, Encyclopedia Britannica, and Kodak film
