I don’t read minds.
I have no idea what others need from me unless they communicate with me.
Guess what? Neither do your people. If you have expectations, then say them out loud.
The next time you are disappointed by someone on your team, think back through every conversation and make sure you were clear with your expectations. If you can’t clearly identify when/where you verbalized goals, objectives, and boundaries….then it’s on you.
Most of the time, its my fault when people let me down.
