I confess that I have never been a fan of those “Who’s Who” kind of published lists. Membership in them always seemed self-serving since I could just fill out a form and be included.
However, relationships are vitally important.
- I have found that the county commissioners can be my friend when crazy developers are trying to build a low cost neighborhood beside of my own
- I have found that professional associations can get me access to other skilled professionals in my industry – people who can help me grow
- I have found that conferences are a great way to meet like-minded people who are pursuing the same goals and agendas as my organization
Before dismissing the next opportunity, consider the value that a new relationship could bring into your life!
Thanks for listening.
