This post summarizes new research by the Harvard Business School. It has an incredible quote that caught my attention:
“We do not learn from experience … we learn from reflecting on experience.”
Wow – that is so incredibly profound. How many people experience a learning opportunity and then fail to apply the lesson? The full research and final paper can be found here.
How can we benefit from this lesson? We can dedicate recurring time to reflect on our life and our work. As a contemplative by nature, I find this easier that most…but I fail to make it a regular and recurring part of my life.
I need to work on that.
Thanks for listening!
