Yesterday was a huge success. 12Stone Church served thousands of families at our local schools, providing them with food, fun, and fellowship. Each family received 2 weeks of groceries, a HoneyBaked Ham (or Turkey), 4 tickets to the Gwinnett Braves, and a Christmas CD. Plus, we invited into a full blown Christmas party with Santa, face-painting, hot chocolate, and more.
The win was enormous. No traffic jams like previous years. No one was inconvenienced. Everyone was served – no one was turned away. And ministry was done at the pace of life. We spent time in relationship with those we were serving.
After the big win is when we become personally at risk. This moment – when we are most tired and off guard – is when Satan attacks us (rather than the project). In the hours & days after a big ministry moment is when I’ve had the most arguments at home, the most immature reactions, and felt the most depressed about who I am in Christ.
Be on guard. Do not let the enemy take us down. Not today.
Be diligent. Be aware.
Continue to serve – especially at home.
Thanks for listening.
