One of my favorite shows is called “The Profit“. Marcus Lemonis is an entrepreneur with a fascinating history (both personal and business). In the show, he rescues failing businesses by investing his own money and taking over as the leader (“I am 100% in charge”).
As I watch the reaction of the previous owners (when he leads them kicking and screaming towards success), I am motivated to ask myself if I am stuck in a similar rut. If someone came and offered to “buy out” my worklife, could they be more successful at running it than I am?
- Where are my blind spots?
- What do I need to let go of?
- Where should I be risking more?
It seems so obvious when he steps in to take over…but I recognize that it isn’t that easy. If it was, then everyone would be successful.
How about you? Do you embrace new wisdom when it comes your way…or do you resist it?
Thanks for listening.
