One of my projects at work just hit a brick wall. We encountered unforeseen obstacles that have literally shut the project down for an unknown period of time. I was very discouraged as the team explained why every option to sidestep the obstacle was not going to work.
Inside my head, I’m praying for God to rescue me from this obstacle. (The truth is, I was actually yelling at Him in my head …asking why He allowed the obstacle in the first place)
Then, Alex said “Actually this is a good thing. If we had not been forced to adjust our project for this new software, we would not have encountered this obstacle until very late in the project. That would have been a far worse impediment at that time!”
So, the obstacle was actually placed there by God to rescue me further down the line. So, we are simply figuring out how to solve it earlier rather than later. And, there is another benefit. We have been forced into user testing on an unfamiliar platform. That will have its own added benefits as we will learn more and faster.
So God was actually answering the prayers all along. I just didn’t know that I was praying them!
Thanks for listening!
